Free Child Fares Across LincolnshireThis August

Free child fares are now available across all Brylaine services throughout August, helping families get around Lincolnshire for less during the summer holidays.

We're pleased to be taking part in the free child fares scheme this August, giving children and young people the opportunity to travel for free across all of our services in Lincolnshire. The offer runs throughout August and covers our network across Lincolnshire, including services serving Boston, Spalding, Skegness, Lincoln, Horncastle, Coningsby, Woodhall Spa and many of the villages in between. With adult single fares also capped at a maximum of £3, taking the bus can be a really affordable option for families over the school holidays.

Whether you're heading into Lincoln for the day, travelling to the coast, visiting family or just getting out and about locally, we'd love to see more families making use of their local bus services this summer.

Before you travel

As part of the scheme, we have a few simple age and identification requirements in place.

Children aged 12–15 can travel independently but will need to show an accepted form of ID or reasonable proof of age when boarding. Different arrangements apply for younger children, who will need to travel with an adult or responsible person depending on their age.

These requirements are there to help our drivers apply the scheme consistently across the network, while also supporting the safeguarding of children and young people travelling with us. With many of our services covering longer rural routes, it's important that our drivers can reasonably verify the age of young passengers, particularly when they are travelling independently.
