B3 Boston Spalding Affected by Road Closures in Pinchbeck (Crossgates)

​Due to essential roadworks in Pinchbeck, there will be some temporary changes to services in the area. We’ve worked hard to keep you moving and maintain connections across the network.

B3 Service Update

  • During the roadworks period, the B3 will divert via the A17/A16 after Wigtoft, accessing Spalding via Wardentree Lane.

  • Customers will be able to board and alight along Wardentree Lane throughout the diversion.

  • While the B3 is unable to serve Gosberton and Surfleet villages, these areas will continue to be well served by the B9 (Boston–Spalding), which will operate as the main service for these communities.

  • Customers with B3 education passes travelling from Gosberton or Surfleet should use the B9 during this period.

  • The B3 will continue to serve Pinchbeck village throughout the day, starting from Market Way on all inbound and outbound journeys.

B3X Extension

To further support travel between Boston and Spalding:

  • The B3X has been extended to serve Old London Road, The Range, The Quadrant (Avocet House), Parthian Avenue/Winter Way, and Kirton.

  • This extended B3X between Boston and Spalding Springfields replaces the B8 service, helping to maintain convenient links across the area.

 

Please note:
The B3X will not serve Hardwick Estate, Leighton Avenue, or Middlegate Road. Customers in these areas can board the B3X on Boston Road or Mill Hill.
