No PCV Licence? No Problem – Fully Funded Bus Driver Training
If you don’t yet have your PCV (Category D) licence, our in-house training school will get you road-ready in as little as six weeks.

Pay & Training Structure
Stage 1 – Application & Assessment
To apply, you must:

Have lived in the UK for 6 months or more
-
Hold a full UK/EU driving licence
-
Have no more than 3 penalty points
-
Have no driving bans within the last 5 years
-
Be aged 21 or over
-
Have held your licence for at least 2 years
-
Have driven regularly within the last 12 months
Application Process:
Submit your CV along with a copy of your driving licence (or licence number).
Shortlisted candidates will attend:

Interview
-
Mock driver theory test
-
Mock hazard perception test
If successful, you will then:
-
Apply for and obtain a provisional PCV (Category D) licence

Complete an enhanced DBS check
-
Pass a medical assessment
Once all stages are successfully completed, you will receive a formal job offer and begin driver training.
Stage 2 – Fully Funded Driver Training

Training duration: Approximately 6 weeks

Pay during training: £12.50 per hour

Daily operational procedures

Safety regulations

Passenger safety

Ticket machines & onboard systems

Company processes

Training takes place at our depots in:

Stage 3 – Route & Fleet Development
After qualification:

£13.50 per hour during continued route and vehicle training
-
After 24 months: £14.50 – £15.00 per hour (in line with current drivers)
You’ll receive ongoing development across routes, vehicle types and passenger charter services.
