PSV Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced PSV Mechanic to join our team, based at our depot in Horncastle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles, including any new vehicles added to our fleet, ensuring they meet both Company and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and rectify all types of PSV faults

Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of PSV vehicles

Prepare vehicles for annual test (MOT)

Conduct vehicle inspections

Use specialist diagnostic equipment to identify and repair faults

Ensure all work is completed to Company and statutory standards

Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices

Maintain high standards of workmanship and care while on site

Keep up to date with relevant product and technical knowledge
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
-
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering (required)

Level 3 HGV/PCV qualification (preferred)

Apprentice-trained candidates welcome

Full UK Driving Licence (required)

PCV/HGV Licence (preferred)
An apprentice-trained Level 3 HGV/PCV pathway is also available.
Salary & Pay Structure
Full-time position
Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.

Senior: £35,000 – £42,000 per year / £18 – £20 per hour

Mid-Level: £14 – £17 per hour

Monday to Friday (current schedule)
Saturday overtime available
Shift patterns:

Earlies: 05:30 – 15:00

Day Shift: 07:30 – 17:00

On-call: 17:00 – last bus (approx. 20:00)

Static rate plus call-out per hour
