B9: Due to the Pinchbeck road closures this service will divert along Station Road in Surfleet to access Spalding. Operating via Wardentree Lane. 05/01 - 08/03 2026

Due to roadworks, there will be temporary changes to bus services in the area:

  • B9 (Boston – Spalding) will be the principle service for both Gosberton and Surfleet the B3 will not serve either village during the works.

  • The B9 will divert via Station Road, Surfleet, for the duration of the works and will travel into Spalding via Wardentree Lane. Passengers may board/alight at Surfleet / Station Road and Wardentree Lane.

  • During this period, the B9 will NOT serve Pinchbeck village, except for journeys transporting students. Students from Crossgates, please make your way to The Bull to board this service. 

  • The B9 Departure time from Spalding has changed to 00:35 past the hour during the day. 
     

  • The B3 will not serve Gosberton, Surfleet or Crossgates villages during the roadworks and will instead divert via the A17/A16 after Wigtoft and access Spalding via Wardentree Lane. 

  • Passengers with B3 Education passes in Gosberton or Surfleet must use the B9.

  • The B3 service will serve Pinchbeck village during the day, starting from Market Way on all inbound and outbound journeys.

 

Important Notice for Donington Cowley Students

The bus from Spalding to Donington Schools and Swineshead will depart at 07:45, instead of 08:00 to ensure we can enable students to be at school on time. 

 

Additional Service Added

An extra B9 journey between Spalding and Boston has been introduced at 10:35am, providing increased late-morning travel options.
